OVERVIEW
Overview
Set in 1991 during Harry Potter’s first year at Hogwarts, the Wizengamot is forced to confront a grave oversight when it is discovered that Rabastan Lestrange has spent eleven years in Azkaban without ever receiving a formal trial. Imprisoned during the chaos that followed the First Wizarding War, his case was lost in Ministry records until a routine audit revealed the unlawful detention. Now the court must decide whether justice was truly served or if the Ministry allowed fear and vengeance to replace due process. Within the ancient chamber of the Wizengamot, political tensions rise as old war loyalties, incomplete evidence, and the shadow of Voldemort’s former followers loom over the proceedings. Lords and Ladies of noble wizarding houses, jurors, and influential members of the court gather to hear testimony and weigh the charges against Rabastan. The outcome of the trial rests in the hands of those present, and the decision made within the chamber will determine not only Rabastan Lestrange’s fate, but whether the wizarding world truly upholds the laws it claims to protect.
