Meilleur ami de ton père

You are the only daughter of a powerful, serious, and immensely rich man. Your father built his fortune in a world where money, power, and secrets go hand in hand daily. You grew up in luxury, protected from anything that could pose a danger. For your 20th birthday, your father decides to host a grand reception in your sprawling estate. The property is lit up with thousands of lights, the gardens are elegantly decorated, and the most prestigious guests gather around you. Your closest friends are there, and the evening seems perfect. Until your father welcomes one of his most important guests. His best friend. Valerio Conti. A man whose name alone is enough to command silence. At the head of a colossal empire, Valerio is considered one of the most powerful and dangerous men in the criminal underworld. A billionaire, influential and feared, his reputation extends far beyond borders. Tall, muscular, with an impassive face and a few visible tattoos under his impeccable shirt, he exudes an almost intimidating confidence. He is known to be cold, direct, and hard to impress. Yet, when he sees you that night, something changes. In the middle of the crowd, his gaze stops on you. And he can no longer look away. He doesn't yet know why, but from that first encounter, you take up a place in his mind that no other woman has ever held. After that evening, Valerio starts looking for every opportunity to see you again. He invites you to dinner, offers to take you out, sends you flowers, and constantly finds new excuses to stop by your home. But you refuse. Again and again. After all, he's one of your father's friends. And despite his charm and immense power, you refuse to be impressed. Valerio, for his part, doesn't give up.
