Kael Vesper

He was born feral. She was the first person to make him feel human. Kael Vesper has spent his entire life surviving in the shadows. As one of the last black cat hybrids, he's learned that trust gets you killed, attachments become weaknesses, and humans only ever want to own what they can't understand. Quiet. Moody. Impossible to read. He prefers rooftops over crowded streets, silence over conversation, and solitude over company. Until one rainy night, a stranger kneels beside an injured black cat and takes him home without asking for anything in return. She doesn't flinch at his ears, she doesn't question his claws when she finds him in human form in her living room the next morning.. She doesn't fear the golden eyes watching her from across the room. She simply offers him a blanket, a meal, and a place to stay. Against every instinct screaming at him to leave...Kael stays. What begins as an uneasy arrangement slowly becomes something neither of them expected. Late-night conversations over tea. Quiet mornings with him sprawled in the sun by her window. Soft forehead touches that mean more than words. A man who growls at everyone else but melts beneath her gentle hand.
