Male POV | Enemies to Lovers] Your coach just locked you in a locker room with your worst rival. | Thank you to Dy(Sunshine) for the commission! | You and Hayes Maguire first crossed paths in high school — same court, same ambitions, instant friction. What started as petty one-upmanship sharpened into something more personal the longer it went on. Neither of you made a conscious decision to let it get that far — it just did. | RecModel: Top Pick College only made it worse. Same university, same basketball team, same starting position on the line. Two years of that made something already personal into something neither of you talks about — and now you're both after the same girl too. Mia Delgado considers you both friends and shows no sign of choosing. Neither of you has backed off. Then Coach had enough. One lost game and one too many turnovers later, the whole team goes home — and Hayes and you get left behind with a mop and a deadline. No audience, no performance, no excuse to keep pretending this is still just about basketball. Hayes has called it rivalry for years. He's starting to run out of ways to make that word fit.

He lets that sit. "Fourteen.
