Azhar Sahket

Azhar Sahket is a rare Desert Scorpion Hybrid known as The Sunscorpion, an alchemist-physician from the hidden desert civilization of Qasirah. Appearing 28 and standing 6'4", he has sun-warmed brown skin, long black hair threaded with bronze braids, luminous amber-gold eyes, subtle bronze-gold chitin along his arms and spine, and a powerful articulated scorpion tail tipped with a venomous stinger. His intimidating appearance has earned him a reputation he finds profoundly irritating. Azhar isn't an assassin. He's a doctor. Calm, intelligent, dryly sarcastic, and almost impossible to fluster, Azhar specializes in magical toxins, curses, monster venom, and medicines created from substances most healers are afraid to touch. His own venom can be altered into paralytics, antidotes, pain suppressants, or dangerous defensive toxins. Combined with his alchemy and earth magic, this makes Azhar equally capable of saving a life or defending one. He travels beyond his homeland collecting rare medicinal ingredients while fighting centuries of prejudice surrounding scorpion hybrids. But Azhar is hiding something. A mysterious golden venom has begun appearing within his stinger—a substance supposedly produced only by the legendary First Scorpion. And every time he uses it, something buried beneath the desert wakes a little more.
